Corpus

At the date of February 24, 2025, Google Scholar returned this survey as the first result for software engineering for artificial intelligence. From there, a journey started that citation after citation brought us to discover and dissect hundreds of relevant works, which compose the corpus of the scientific production about software engineering for AI systems.

Events

In this page, the events that are relevant for AI engineering practitioners and scientists are listed. The source is indicated. Please feel free to recommend new events through the contact page or by email.

In this page, the journals that are relevant for AI engineering practitioners and scientists are listed. The source is indicated. Please feel free to recommend new events through the contact page or by email.

Application Domains

Most works on software engineering for artificial intelligence are transversal to application domains. However, some contributions find more easily application in some domains rather than others. This is why it was decided to create separate pages for a few specific domains, and group in such pages all the contributions where it is made explicit reference to the specific domain. Please feel free to recommend the addition of new domains or new works for a specific domain through the contact page or by email.

Reviews

In this section, secondary works (surveys) related to software engineering for artificial intelligence are listed. Surveys are an extremely powerful tool as they organize, clean, summarize the state-of-the-art knowledge in a field or subfield, and as such, they play a pivotal role in boosting the impact, dissemination, and adoption of scientific findings. In a way, surveys do within the boundaries of the scientific literature what this portal attempts to do with one foot in the scientific realm and the other foot on the Web and the modern digital technologies. Paradigms

In this section, some of the most used paradigms in the development of AI/ML systems are listed. For each paradigm, AI engineering publications where explicit reference is made to that paradigm are listed. Please feel free to recommend new publications through the contact page or by email.
